Wedding Andy & Amanda Engagement Video
Friday, July 31, 2009 | Posted by:
Luke Andy and Amanda are a great couple. Amanda actually grew up one street over from me in Logan, Ohio. Her mother was one of my high school english teachers. Because Andy and Amanda live in Columbus, Ohio we decided to do the shoot downtown in the Arena District. After a quick wardrobe change in the car we trekked over to the almighty Ohio State Stadium better known as "The Shoe". They are getting married over Thanksgiving Weekend in Cancun! I hope to share some great photos and video of this gorgeous couple on the beach.
Bartender shot of the week:
Mexican Thanksgiving (if you can keep this down you are a champ)
Equal parts: Wild Turkey and Jose Cuervo
This video is a behind the scenes look at an engagement session with me. I will post my favorites to the blog soon! Enjoy!

Luke So I know its been a while since I've blogged, I've been getting my new studio ready for senior season. The studio is coming along great. I'll post before and after pics at some point but for now here is a wonderful Athens Ohio summer wedding. Jackie and Drew had some great engagement photos found here. Now they're finally married! It was a beautiful clear but windy day. You can see pollen in the air in some of the photos where I'm shooting into the sun, fun times! At anyrate enough of me talking now for the photos!

A quick walk to the C.I.

Behind the scenes with the Photobooth! Amazing what happens to people with an open bar.

Josh and Amanda Las Vegas Wedding
Sunday, April 19, 2009 | Posted by:
Luke Josh and Amanda have been together for a while now. They've been so busy with their 3 kids that I think they forgot to get married. They are great together, you can really tell that Josh and Amanda have a great relationship. When they planned their wedding they wanted to get away from it all. No family members came along, they did this for themselves. This is a perfect example of why wedding photography is so important, they can now share their wedding with everyone. I am so glad they chose me to document their wedding day. This was a very unique experience for me as they did a Las Vegas wedding at a Drive Thru Chapel. I tell you what, this is the way to go, lol. If I ever get married this will be an option! Shoots like this is one of the many reasons why I love photography. Travel is one thing but for me its experiencing a witnessing things that most people never get the chance to. Really, how many people have attended a Drive Thru Las Vegas wedding? I am very grateful to have shared this day with Josh and Amanda and wish you guys the best. Check back soon for Josh and Amanda's shoot at the Neon Museum .

Luke I have been super busy lately. I was out in Las Vegas this past week shooting a wedding. While out there my buddy Todd hooked Doug and I up with a great model and awesome location. Here is a preview of Teri Marie's shoot out on Jean Dry Lake. This was taken with a Hasselblad H2 body with a P30+ back courtesy of Doug Peterson of Capture Integration.

Luke Here are some of my favorite shots from Jackie and Drew's engagement session. Hopefully this will help them feel better as Drew is at his new job in California and Jackie is finishing up at Ohio University. I can't wait to shoot their wedding this summer.

Meet Lindsey

Luke Lindsey is a Senior at Athens High School. The day of the shoot, Lindsey was bursting with good energy, which brought out her great smile and beautiful eyes. The first image in this post is one of my favorites from this year; it just makes me feel so happy!

Meet Lauren

Luke Lauren is another Athens Highs School Senior. Lauren is super smart; don't let her quiet demeanor fool you. Lauren is always thinking. She is probably the only girl that likes new gadgets and electronics as much as I do. Here's to you getting your new MacBook and iPhone. Lauren also probably has the coolest job at the studio-she gets paid to do Facebook. She also creates some of the amazing slideshows you see here. If it wasn't for her, I would be spending hours on Facebook uploading photos and slideshows.

Meet Mary Page

Luke Mary Page was amazing. Full of energy and had a great attitude. She is a Senior at Athens High School and is super into Irish dancing. It was so fun watching her dance. I'm not an Irish dancing expert but as I was photographing her I thought to myself, "Wow, she's good!" I don't know all the technical aspects of Irish dance however it looked right. Art is funny like that; you may not know all the ins and outs of what you're looking at but you can always tell when you see talent. Turns out she was super modest about her abilities. I talked to some of her friends and they were like, "Yeah, she's kind of a big deal..." so, I googled her and it turns out she's in the top 10 Irish dancers in the Nation for her age group! Crazy... I have video from the shoot that I will try and have Mark edit and upload but here's some photos to look at for now. :-D
